The Fairy's Crown

A Sweet Succulent Story
By Candice Suter

Fairy's Crown

The fairy Queen lays her crown gently on the open flower of the succulent plant. She turns to her King and says, "It is such a hot day my love. But I am glad that we can have refuge and safety among this human's beautiful garden. I am so happy that we found her so that our kind have such a wonderful place to live!" "Yes", said her King, "This is a glorious place, this human has so many blooming succulents with there golden nectar. And her cactus provide us with protection from those that would mean us harm." Overhead a yellow butterfly flew from flower to flower sharing in the feast. The Queen waved at her friend and the butterfly tipped his wings in a sign of respect. "We must do something for this human." said the Queen. "I agree", said the King, "We will have a meeting of the court." "How wonderfull!", said the Queen, "The echeveria's and sempervivum's are still blooming so we will have plenty of nectar for the party, oops I mean meeting." The King scowled at her. "I know, I know but our meeting's always end up being so fun!" The King smiled, "Yes dear they do! So we should get started!" The Queen went to get her crown when her King said, "My love, why don't you leave your crown on that flower as it looks so beautiful! That is one thing that we can do right now. I will make you another." "Yes" she said "Great idea my sweet" And they flew off behind the Yucca tree to make their plans.

Have a great weekend and remember:

It's Another Beautiful Day!
