Dad & Candy's Big San Francisco Adventure

A few weeks ago my 85 year old dad and I went to San Francisco to meet my nephew and cousin from Minnesota. My cousin Lisa was in S.F. to go to a business conference. So it ended on Saturday and we met with her and Jeff my nephew at the hotel we were staying in. My best friend Lorna and her husband Dave stay at the Chancellor Hotel on union square all the time so they hooked us up. What a great old hotel. Very comfortable. I would stay there again.

So on Saturday we had dinner at Alliotto's restaurant. Yummy! We had a window seat and was really fantastic! The service there is outstanding. On Sunday we spent the whole day at Fisherman's Wharf. It was the most beautiful day I have ever seen in San Francisco. No fog, lots of sun and no wind. We ate breakfast at Sear's Fine Foods. They have the best Swedish pancakes. We walked around and I was amazed at all the succulents I saw there. Of course I took pictures of them all. Here are a few shots of them. We had a sourdough bread bowl of clam chowder at Boudin's for lunch and were stuffed. So we went back to the hotel and watched the 2nd half of the superbowl and then had desert at the Cheesecake Factory on Union square. It is at the top of Macy's. What a spectacular view of the square at night. I took some great pictures at night with my new camera. Look on Flickr to check them out! What a great weekend.

Hi Candy! I love the look of these succulents that seem to be growing up and over a form of some sort. They are all growing together too...did you make these??? I would be interested to know how you put them together.
